Volunteer: Graphic Designer – Overview This is a volunteer opportunity provided by Taproot Foundation, a nonprofit creating social change through pro bono connections. We are preparing for the soft launch of our organization and require pro‑bono support to design a simple brand identity for our new "Exhibition in Print" series, which will be produced as both a digital and print publication. The publication will serve as a standalone piece and as a companion to programs currently in development. Deliverables Template for title page Spine template for print publication Sample page layouts Table of contents Letter from the editor template Simple template for publication announcement social media Choice of font family for use in brand materials Template for introducing the publication to potential partners (one‑pager template) All assets, besides the logo, should be editable in Canva and complement our organization’s baseline visual brand identity. The design should also complement our podcast assets while maintaining a standalone identity. Responsibilities Translate reference materials and brand assets into the deliverables above. Communicate regularly with the project lead to refine tone and style. Produce design files that can be used in future publishing and fundraising materials. Qualifications Strong graphic design skills with experience in Canva or equivalent tools. Knowledge of brand identity development and ability to create cohesive templates. Attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines. Good communication skills and openness to feedback.
