Beowulf Electricity and Data is looking for an HR Generalist with 5-7 years experience to join our team at our Lake Mariner Facility in Barker, NY. This role is essential to our human resources department, focusing on various aspects of HR , including payroll, recruiting, onboarding, employee relations and day to day support to the Director of HR and VP of Payroll Our ideal candidate will bring valuable payroll experience, particularly with ADP Workforce Now, ensuring accurate and efficient payroll processing.

Key Responsibilities:

• Job Description Development: Collaborate with department heads to create clear, concise, and comprehensive job descriptions and postings that accurately reflect the responsibilities and qualifications required for each position.
• Recruitment and Selection Management: Oversee the entire recruitment and selection process, from job posting to candidate onboarding, ensuring a seamless and engaging experience for potential hires.
• Resume Screening and Interviewing: Screen incoming resumes and conduct interviews, employing effective assessment techniques to identify candidates who align with our organizational culture and values.
• Onboarding Coordination: Facilitate the onboarding process for new hires, ensuring they receive necessary training, resources, and support to successfully integrate into the company.
• External Recruitment Agency Collaboration: Build and maintain relationships with external recruitment agencies to enhance our talent acquisition efforts, ensuring that we have access to a diverse and qualified candidate pool.
• Payroll Backup Responsibilities: Input the weekly payroll for LMD and act as a backup for payroll processing, ensuring accuracy and compliance while providing support during busy payroll periods or staff absences.
• Employee Support and Inquiry Handling: Address employee questions and provide assistance on various HR matters, creating a supportive and responsive HR environment.
• Assistance to Leadership: Support the Director of HR and Vice President of Payroll in executing HR initiatives and projects, contributing to the overall effectiveness and efficiency of the HR department.

Additionally, we are seeking a candidate with a BS in HR/Business, hold a SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP certification, or HRCI SPHR/PHR reflecting their commitment to maintaining high standards in human resource management. This position may require travel to corporate offices and other sites.
